GIVING BACK TO THE NEXT GEN

Our athletes unlocking their inner child and connecting with the next generation

House of Victory student-athletes made a meaningful impact on the lives of young people in our community during a recent visit at Boys & Girls Club of Metro LA.

🏈 USC football players Marquis Gallegos and A’Marion Paterson, along with men's tennis athlete 🎾 Stefan Dostanic, spent quality time playing games, sharing their experiences and offering words of encouragement to the participants.

Marquis, A’Marion and Stefan not only demonstrated their skills but also showcased their compassion and dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others. By engaging with the youth and setting positive examples, our athletes are helping to shape a brighter future for the next generation.

NCAA SETTLEMENT UPDATE

The recent settlement reached in the House v. NCAA antitrust case, approved by the NCAA and all five power conferences, marks a significant step forward in the ongoing reform of college sports and promises to provide substantial benefits to student-athletes for years to come, ushering in the beginning of the revenue sharing era.

Under the terms of the agreement, $2.8 billion will be distributed to athletes in damages, and up to $2 billion per year will be allocated to them going forward, with the amount set to increase as revenues rise over the next decade. The revenue sharing model could take effect as soon as 2025.

As a result of the settlement, athletic departments will be able to opt-in to this revenue sharing model and will be able to set their distributions to student-athletes how they see fit. There are still several legal questions pending about the Title IX implications of revenue sharing and how it will affect student-athletes.

Before anything is finalized though, the settlement still needs to be certified by the judge overseeing the case.

We will keep you updated with more information as developments continue.
