House of Victory's Mid-Summer Triumphs: On and Off the Field

Featuring Kamari Ramsey's inspiring journey, Trojan football players spreading joy at a children's hospital and more!

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: KAMARI RAMSEY

Tough as a Mother

By Kamari Ramsey

Every morning, the day began at 4:30 a.m. to make the trek from Palmdale to the Valley, and then back. Two hours each way. My mom, resolute and steady, took my siblings and me to a school far from home, before her own work day started, sacrificing her own comfort for our futures. Gospel music hummed quietly in the background, her voice teaching me scriptures that would guide me through life. As we navigated the grueling commute, our car turned into a modest classroom, where books, assignments and young ambitions filled the hours before sunrise. This routine, though challenging, built my foundation of resilience and time management. My mother’s silent sacrifice taught me to control what I could, even when the world seemed intent on testing us.

As a Trojan, I carry these lessons onto the field daily. My commitment extends beyond the Coliseum. I give back to my community through organizations like Midnight Mission, serving our unhoused neighbors.

Creating my legacy at USC means embodying hard work, being a great teammate, and making a positive impact. With every game, I carry the lessons from those early morning rides, hoping to prove that dedication can turn any commute into a path to greatness.

BIG 10 MEDIA DAY HEADLINES

Head Football Coach Lincoln Riley made headlines as Big Ten Media Day gets underway with high praise for House of Victory.

"Our collective is probably the most improved collective in the country and continues to improve," Riley said. "Honestly, not too concerned about what everybody else has done."

Riley’s endorsement highlights House of Victory's rapid growth and impact in supporting USC student-athletes. As we enter the Big Ten era, we're proud to lead the way in innovative NIL opportunities, setting the standard for collectives nationwide.

DELIVERING SMILES

Football student-athletes Ja’Kobi Lane, Makai Lemon, Woody Marks and DeCarlos Nicholson made a heartwarming impact during a recent House of Victory NIL engagement.

Our athletes visited the pediatric ward at Kaiser Permanente LA Medical Center, bringing cheer to young patients, their families and the dedicated hospital staff. During their visit, the student-athletes distributed JoyJars provided by the Jessie Rees Foundation and Never Ever Give Up (NEGU) program, which are filled with toys and activities designed to bring happiness to children battling serious illnesses.
