RAY OF SUNSHINE

House of Victory sat down with recent WNBA Draft pick and Trojan for life, Rayah Marshall to get the inside scoop on what the past few weeks have looked like for her since getting drafted by the Connecticut Sun. Rayah shared about her whirlwind draft experience, how she’s getting settled in on the East Coast, her message to the Trojan Family and more!

“I wouldn’t be where I am today without the Trojan Family and I’m so appreciative. And of course, Fight On!”

THE EXPERTISE TO HELP YOU SUCCEED

THE JUNKYARD DOG

“I’m new around here, so allow me to introduce myself. I have a chip on my shoulder and I play with something to prove. I’ve always been one of the smallest guys on any team, even back to when I was a kid. But I’ve also always been the most ferocious guy on any team. I’m willing to compete against anybody. And if anyone wants to line up against me, it’s going to be a long day for him.

I want to go against the best and be the best, and honestly that’s why I’m here.

My name is Waymond Jordan: The Junkyard Dog.

Transfer running back Waymond Jordan might be new to USC, but you’re going to want to remember his name. Last season in JUCO at Hutchinson CC, he led his team to the National Championship and he took home The JUCO Weekly Award for the nation’s top player. Now a new chapter is starting and he’s fired up and ready to work.

TROJANS IN THE COMMUNITY

Football and Women’s Basketball athletes joined forces with American Cancer Society at USC to help spread awareness and education, create their own Luminaria Bags in honor of those affected by cancer and participate in a day of fun festivities at their Relay for Life event. Here’s to Fighting On no matter the challenges! Check out more photos from this special event here.

In case you missed it, earlier this month nearly two dozen Football athletes spent the day supporting kids with physical disabilities at Angel City Sports’ Youth Weekend. Throughout the day, House of Victory athletes helped the participants as they participated in adaptive sports and got in on the fun themselves trying a variety of new activities including wheelchair basketball, para-track and more! Check out a full recap from the day here.

Your tax-deductible gift to House of Victory Foundation provides opportunities like this for our athletes to support deserving local organizations.

INVESTING IN THE FUTURE

SPRING SPORTS ROUNDUP

Across USC’s spring sports, several teams are hitting their stride and putting the nation on notice at the right time. Check out highlights from around Heritage Hall:

Baseball: The Trojans are one of the hottest teams in the Big Ten, and across the country heading into a weekend series against UCLA. Currently third in the conference, the Dedeaux Boys look to keep several impressive streaks alive in the rivalry series including having won seven games in a row and seven series in a row. The series begins tonight!

Beach Volleyball: Four-time defending National Champions USC take the sand at Gulf Shores to begin their title defense today when the NCAA Championship gets underway. This week, House of Victory athlete Zoey Henson was named a First-Team All-American alongside teammate Maddy White. Let’s go girls!

Women’s Golf: Coming off the Big Ten Championship, where House of Victory athlete Catherine Park finished fifth overall, the Women of Troy are the No. 2 seed in their NCAA Championship regional, which begins on Monday, May 5.

You can show your support for these teams, or any Trojan team, through House of Victory’s latest fundraising campaign. Your support allows USC coaches and staffs to recruit and retain the best talent in the country, to continue competing for National Championships. Make your commitment today and help keep USC THE PLACE TO BE.
