This past week Jen expressed her strong belief in how NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) is benefitting our student-athletes and programs, especially in football saying, “USC stands among the best in NIL programs, ensuring our athletes have the tools they need for success. We're also thrilled about our partnership with the donor collective, House of Victory, where generous support is pouring in to benefit all 23 of our programs and the 600 student athletes we proudly represent.”
Wearing her House of Victory shirt with pride, Jen went on to emphasize, “the holistic impact of NIL on our student athletes.”
Adding, “Beyond the field, they are individuals with unique brands, compelling stories, and diverse interest. NIL provides them with the opportunity to develop themselves holistically, gain business savvy experience, and showcase their identity as whole individuals.”

SETTING THE FOUNDATION
NIL NATIONAL UPDATES

Reform On The Horizon
In the evolving landscape of NCAA and NIL matters, leaders from over two dozen NIL collectives, including House of Victory, gathered for a summit in Orlando, organized by The Collective Association. The recent NCAA investigations and penalties have stirred mixed reactions within the NIL community, with some seeing it as the NCAA "grasping at straws." Amidst legal battles, the Tennessee case's outcome could shape the future of NCAA governance over NIL, prompting discussions on collective voices in policy creation.
Here’s a breakdown of everything we learned from the first-ever summit this past week:
🔍 NCAA's Ongoing Enforcement
The NCAA is continuing to investigate Tennessee-affiliated Spyre Sports Group for NIL-related violations. Text message and email screenshots are now being presented in the case to identify if any staff members were involved in unlawful tampering.
⚖️ Lawsuit Against NCAA
Both Tennessee and Virginia attorney generals are seeking a restraining order against NCAA's NIL policy which could result in a true unregulated, competitive market within college sports.
🏛️ Importance of Tennessee Case
The lawsuit results could set a precedent for the NCAA's governance over NIL matters. Specifically, it could help lawmakers decide on whether the NCAA has control or not.
🚀 Encouragement for NIL Collectives
Despite challenges, The Collective Association's summit signifies a positive step, calling for collaboration and a forward-looking approach in the evolving NIL landscape.
