The Trojans are Making an Impact On and Off the Field This Summer

Plus: An Exclusive Story from House of Victory Student-Athlete and Two-Sport USC Standout, Duce Robinson

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

Dual-sport athlete Duce Robinson brings the heat on the gridiron and the diamond.

Growing up, I was inspired by my dad, Dominic Robinson, a dual-sport athlete at Florida State University. His passion and determination, both on the field and on the diamond, were infectious. My mom, a swimmer at the University of Florida, matched his competitiveness, and together they taught me the importance of maintaining a positive outlook and finding opportunities in the face of adversity.

Following in their footsteps, I immersed myself in various sports before ultimately focusing on football and baseball at USC. Balancing football and baseball, especially in the spring, often meant four or five days a week of practices and games. Typically, my day started with football practice in the morning, then class, hitting in the cages on my own, attending meetings, and finally driving to the evening baseball games. This routine, though exhausting, never felt like a burden because each moment brought me immense happiness. The laughter in the locker room, high-fives on the field, and shared excitement after a great play – these moments make all the hard work worth it.

The unwavering support from my coaches and teammates fuels my drive to excel and push past my limits.

THE PERFECT COMBINATION OF

SPORT AND LUXURY

PEDAL FOR A PURPOSE

Bear Alexander joined AD Jen Cohen on the main stage during Tour de Pier.

Football student-athletes recently participated in the Tour de Pier, a unique outdoor stationary bike fest that raises funds and awareness for cancer research and supports those battling the disease.

Our Trojans actively engaged with participants, distributed refreshments, and handed out giveaways. The highlight was defensive lineman Bear Alexander cycling alongside Athletic Director Jen Cohen on the main stage. ❤️

We applaud our student-athletes for their dedication to making a difference and thank all those who supported this extraordinary event. Together, we can continue pedaling towards a cancer-free future.

Football student-athletes (from L to R) at Tour de Pier included: John Humphrey, Christian Pierce, Bear Alexander, Marquis Gallegos, Marcelles Williams and Makai Lemon.

BRIDGING CULTURES

Football student-athletes at the API Youth Forum.

Our USC football student-athletes recently participated in a unique and enriching experience at the API Youth Forum, hosted by the Center for the Pacific Asian Family.

The event provided an opportunity for the players to learn about and celebrate different cultures through a variety of performances, workshops and demonstrations. Our Trojans engaged in meaningful conversations and activities that highlighted the importance of embracing diversity and fostering understanding.

By coming together to learn and grow, these student-athletes demonstrated the positive impact that can be made when we open our hearts and minds to the experiences of others.

DUNKING FOR A CAUSE

USC football student-athletes recently visited the Challengers’ Boys & Girls Club of Metro Los Angeles to spend quality time with local participants. Our athletes' presence brought immense joy and excitement to the youngsters, and a spontaneous dunk competition broke out among the players, much to the delight of their young audience.

The dunk contest highlighted the importance of these interactions, not only entertaining the kids but also demonstrating the importance of friendly competition, sportsmanship and the pursuit of excellence. Check out the dunk highlights below 😉
